On April 17, 2019, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts signed legislation (L.B. 217) amending the Nebraska Fair Employment Practice Act to prohibit discrimination against employees for communicating about employee wages, benefits, or other compensation.
The law is effective September 6, 2019.
