Labor Posters Updated
In January 2018, the Hawaii Occupational Safety and Health Division (HIOSH) updated its You Have a Right to a Safe and Healthful Workplace: IT’S THE LAW! poster. Employers must conspicuously post this notice in the workplace in a prominent location or where such notices are customarily located.
The Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (DLIR) also updated its labor law posters covering disability compensation law, laws prohibiting employment discrimination, occupational safety and health laws, required notice to dislocated workers/plant closings, unemployment insurance law, and wage and hour law. Posting these official departmental posters satisfies Hawaii labor laws’ posting requirements.
